dog training for the whole family!

dog training for the whole family!

We are balanced trainers with a focus on helping families achieve their goals with their dogs. We can teach you how to communicate with your dog in a way that is clear to them to build a great relationship, stop unwanted behavior, and have a whole lot more fun and freedom with your dog. The result is happier dogs and happier families. See how much bigger you and your dogs life can be with our approach.

Our training is customized to fit your needs.

Our trainings are offered in a couple of ways: private lessons or board and trains.

Our board & train program

For a board and train program, your dog will come live with us and we will do all the training ourselves. Each dog is an individual and each family has their own goals but here are some of the common problems we address in our board & train program:

  • pulling on leash
  • not coming when called
  • dog & human reactivity
  • aggression
  • lunging, barking
  • resource guarding
  • jumping up on people
  • fence fighting
  • counter surfing
  • fear/anxiety
  • redirecting on a handler

Here is some of what your dog will learn during our board & train program:

  • walking well on leash even around distractions/triggers
  • off leash recall no matter what they are doing
  • relaxation and trust
  • what behaviors are acceptable and which ones are not
  • how to have an "off" switch
  • how to meet new people without jumping on them
  • how to not be reactive to other dogs, to be comfortable instead
  • how to deal with feeling nervous or anxious in healthy ways that aren't dangerous or inconvenient

We will teach you the tools, techniques and philosophy to ensure the training sticks long after your dog returns home. We are here to answer any questions and help you along as much as you need to continue having a really great relationship with your dog.

What a board & train program entails:  Your dog will live with us for 3 weeks as we teach new abilities including full off leash training while we get rid of unwanted behaviors, and we reinforce all the training in real world situations. You will get a training session with your dog before they come home so we can go over any questions. On top of that, there is a 90 minute go-home session for us to spend time ensuring you have everything you need to be successful. We are absolutely committed to your success. If you have any questions or run into stumbling blocks in the future we are always happy to help. All clients that have been through our board & train program get free training tune ups by phone call or Skype.

The cost for a complete board and train program, including training equipment, is $2800.

All board & train programs are done with e-collar technology.

Private lessons

Our private, one-on-one lessons are thorough, effective and the right choice if you would like to do the training yourself or have just a couple of things you'd like to work on with your dog. We will teach you the approach that works best for what you want to accomplish, which tools to use and how to use them to get to your goal. We can accomplish the same results as in our board & train program, the only difference is that you will do all the training. Private lessons are 60 minutes. You will get an extra 30 minutes for free during our first lesson so we can spend more time getting to know you and your dog extending your first lesson to 90 minutes.

We also offer training package bundles. These are offered at a discount when you purchase them together. Here are the prices for each:

Single private lessons are $200 per lesson.

3 private lessons: $510 (15% discount)

6 private lessons: $960 (20% discount)

10 private lessons: $1500 (25% discount)

If you aren't sure which program would be best for you, give us a call so we can advise which training approach would work best for your situation.
